Luuezz Takes in Ohio Bike Week

OHIO BIKE WEEK 08

There is always something happening downtown in Sandusky during the annual North Coast Thunder Rally - Ohio Bike Week ~ Roeder Harley-Davidson's 8th Annual Rally held this year June 6 - 15th. America's Fastest Growing Rally. They estimate about 100,000 bikers were going to attend this year.

There was sure allot people everywhere I went. Every year this event grows rapidly, the event drew more than 60,000 people to Sandusky area last year despite heavy rainfall during the weekend. Bikes lined the streets and down the middle back to back, plenty of vendors everywhere lots of bars, food courts and restaurants, bands played continuously as bikers danced in the streets. Everyone was having a good time!

The 10 day rally featured the Burning River Roller Derby Girls, Battle Of The Bands at the Erie County Fairgrounds. National acts included classic rocker Ted Nugent, country singer Travis Tritt and a free downtown performance by Saliva. Live bands in the streets included Earthquakers. At the State Theatre was the Motorcycle Hall Of Fame Woman Riders Exhibit, including Woman - specific vendors. I found allot of interest in here for myself and other woman. More to come from here...

The Broken Spoke Saloon was open daily with live music actually live music was just about everywhere I went. People flocked Friday - Sunday to the AHDRA Ohio Nationals Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. This is where I had my most fun at! I love motorcycle racing. Bikers may want to fuel up their hogs for some island hopping fun during Ohio Bike Week. Put your scoot on the boat journey across Lake Erie to one of the Islands for the day.

One really must attend this rally for the entire 10 days. There is a calendar of events that run for 10 days from the 1st Friday at 9am to 11 pm daily. This is one rally you want to attend next year, so mark your calendars now for this one! There is so much to do there and see everything and have fun, one can't do it all in 4 days or a weekend. I am definitely can't wait till next yr, I had a blast of fun at this event, I am still in a wow.........state of mind.
