The way it was by Little Richard
Back
in the Day......
When I had my 64 pan, I was coming back from a biker bar in N.J. called Marty & Millie's. It was one of those Saturday afternoons with nothing to do, there was nobody at our favorite hangout & it was just too nice to go home & do nothing, as I was heading down a coastal highway the sky got black & all of a sudden it opened up rained so hard I couldn't see my hand in front of my face the streets where flooded but as long as I kept moving I was ok, a car cut me off I had to slow up & the engine died I coasted out of the flood & I was sitting on the bike. A car came up, window came down, a hand came out of the window & scared the living shit out of me. I was flying my colors but all it turned out to be was a big fluffy bath towel. I was never so happy. I kept that towel for a whole lot of years, when I think back now I laugh, but not that day. Little Richard Old Dogs Brotherhood Pres
Back in the Day, I had a childhood friend. Hell we were in grammar school together. His name was Jimmy but everybody called him Stoop & he lived up to his name. It wasn't that he was dumb, just a lot of things he did back in our early days of our clubs. There was a bar right down the street from where we hung & another club took it over. They made it a stupid rule that anybody that came into the bar wearing a patch other then theirs, wouldn't get served unless you took it off or turned it inside out. Well, Stoop got a great idea in his head. The bar was on the corner & 3 steps down to get into the bar. Stoop got a running start. Yep down the stairs he went on his bike. It was a circular bar. He went around the whole bar twice, pulled up to the bartender & ordered a beer. Well, the bartender was in a state of shock & just handed him a tall neck. 2 mouthfuls & the beer was gone he took off up the stairs. The only problem was a patrol car seen him do it & they were waiting for him. So as he came out they threw the brights on him, bubble gum machine lights, sirens & the whole 9 yds. well Stoop took off & the cops followed him but it seemed every place he turned there was a cop car waiting for him. He took off through somebody's back yard & here were these hedges about 6 foot tall. He went through the hedges seen a driveway & as he got to the end, a patrol car was in front of him. Off to the night court and he made his one phone call. But nobody was home and by the time we got there, he was standing in front of the judge. Judge said $350.00 or 90 days in jail. Well he said "give me the 90 days. I don't have the money." judge says $200.00 or 90 days in jail. Again he says, "Give me the 90 days I do not have the money." We could tell he was having fun. Finally the judge said to him "how much money do you have?" He had $100.00. "But I need $25.00 to go to work." So the judge took the $75.00. Stoop is gone now. He died twice, but that's another story. Little Richard Pres. Old Dogs Brotherhood
