Wanda tell me how long have you been on the race track racing motorcycles?
This is my 7 th Season

How did you get to the start line of a race track?
My husband had built a drag bike and he had taught me how to drag race.

Can you please tell me what goes through your mind as your are waiting for the tree to turn green?
I tell myself that I can do this then I take a deep breath......as the tree turns green, I'm wide open full throttle.

Tell me what is the make of your motorcycle that you race?
I have a V-ROD Destroyers Made by Harley Factory Bikes

Have you ever wrecked?
No. Once my bike's engine blew up in the middle of the race just like that, I remembered what my husband told me don't touch the front or rear brake and just ride it out. I did just that. It was scary and I was shook up after it was over however I soon let it go and got on another bike and raced again.
I think if I ever wrecked and got hurt I would quit.

How fast have you ever gone Wanda?
In 9.17 second

What advise would you offer woman to stop procrastinating to follow a dream?
JUST DO IT!!!

Who Inspires you and why?
My husband Alan, he constantly declares to me that I can do it!
My children have always had confidence in their mother. They love what I do.

Do you wrench on your own motorcycle?
Yes I do some of it. I check my air, shifter, tires, fuel, check bolts & nuts and make sure to tighten them all down.

How many year will you continue to race?
Well as long as I have the drive & the passion to race and it continues to motivate me.

Does anyone of your family members race?
Yes my son & my husband continue to race

Do you ride a street bike & if so what kind do you ride?
2003 Buell
2004 V-ROD
I feel much safer on the track than I do on the street. Too many people not paying attention and trying to kill you.
We ride very little on the street.

I seen you putting on your riding gear, Do you wear armor? What kind of boots do you wear?
It is required that in my class that I wear a spine protector, my helmet is a ARAI, Nitro Riding Boot's and Vance & Leathers Have been custom made for my body.

Was it hard entering a mans world of racing being a woman rider?
It was hard to earn a man's respect, but I did.

How many different tracks do you race on in a season?
13 different tracks last year.

Do You have children?
Wanda has 3 Girls & 1 Boy & 3 Granddaughters

We are currently sponsored by Brian�s Harley- Davidson and Chapman Ford both are out of Langhorne ,Pa. This year we will be at 11 AHDRA races we still have 4 left in our season.
