I am a semi retired musician living in the mountains of So Cal. My life has been dominated by music, kids and motorcycles. Music is slowing down, the kids are grown ...... TIME TO RIDE!

My son, a few friends of mine and I decided to start this web site. We figured this would be a great retirement gig. Riding our bikes and writing about it. I've come to realize there are many of you out there who would like to do the same. We will soon have the ability to post members rides and reports as you generate them. There will soon be open forums and ... other cool stuff.  So here's some Skynard, hang out and check the place over. Then, get signed up and post your pics and thoughts.

The rally and poker run will benifit Operation Homefront and I hope we see all you folks there. Details can be found in Lynda's garage Here are some pics from last year.

Hey Beej, I just read you blip about a breakfast at Arthurs. I'm not sure what the date is. Could you let me know? Also, if anyone needs help with the poker run, I've worked a few in my time, so let me know about that too. Thanks for your help.

You are too kind altho, my father is quite the character (and gave me my first ride). The "Angel post seems to be a particular favorite and was quite the adventure for me.
You have quite the site here. Kudos! Once my site is completely up and all its capabilities functioning, we may be of value to each other. Calabortation is always a possibility for me since getting the information out to our biking bretheren is really the issue. So, if there is any way I may be of service to you, let me know.
Thank you for your kind words and your time. Keep up the good work, your site is fabulous.      Judy

Thanks for the welcome, yes we went to the Stars and Pipes we helped to escort Frogman Tommy and his son.  We were at the West Coast Thunder as well but as volunteers.  I sold opportunity tickets and tees.

Hey Bj,

Not a problem. Tell me about running your own biz brother! I understand what your going through.  I'm glad you've had the chance to try it out. I know the product will sell it's self, I just need to create the perfect vehicle for it.. BTW, on Aug.30th I'll be a vendor at the Irwindale speedway ( south of the 210 FWY on the 605 ).

One more thing, since we are both pretty busy, I went ahead and purchased a website from webhostingpad.com . Since I don't know how to use or change their preset templates, I have n't really done a dam thing with it. Lol.

We'll talk soon, gotta get ready for the grind.
Stay on  two wheels and ride safe.

Thanks for the info / timeline about the pictures.... It'll be cool to see them.

My BEEJ/ BJ  is short for "Billie Jo"..... and I TOO know all to well that "BJ" is not always the best nickname, unless you wanna throw fists with a woman : )

I'm glad I saw the banner on the back of her Van... this is a pretty cool site. I'm sure my husband will enjoy it also.  Thanks for doing a great job.!!

Bike week in Sandusky was GREAT.... even WITH the rain!! True riders go rain or shine!

When will there be Pictures posted from This Bike week? I was on the '82 superglide, with the "death dealer" custom paint job, done by my husbands' brother.

Yeah, that was me. Moved the shop up to the house. Downsized.... more like "life support". Saw your truck takin pics last Sunday. Checked out the site and I like it. See a lot of familiar faces. I used to live in MHV/Camp Angelus for about 13 years in the 70's-80's. So I am a child of Hwy38. My buddy and I had the 2 Streetfighters @ the ranger station. It's nice to see a local MC site based up here, since this is my stompin' grounds. I'm leaving for Idaho/Montana again in a month. I'll send you some good pics from the ride. Maybe a story or two. We'll be hitting some cool places, great eats, and EK days in Butte,MT.

Thanks for the welcome Beej! Shiny side up!

Yes, that was Randy above the caption with his name - thanks for that. We are with Inland Empire Harley Owners Group - IEHOG. This event is a HUGE undertaking, so we don't really have any other events, we mostly just ride almost every weekend, local as well as overnighters. We have a ride to Cabazon during the holidays. We collect gently used clothing and new personal items as well as toys and any thing else we can to donate to the very poor families in that area. You can find out a little more about us by visiting iehog.com

From: wildheart on 2009-05-27 10:54:44

If you are the guy who was taking pictures, then yes, we met. Well, maybe not officially. I was in the golfcart when you came in at 14th and Main. My husband, Randy is the one who was responsible for downtown, so it's success was due to him. I like your site and wish you well. I work at La Sierra High School as a special education assistant, so am not far from Ramona. And we live just up the street from Ramona High.

Hey. Got your post. Good question. The school year ends in two/three weeks, and I can devote some extra time to getting those essential services up. But, each of those services that you mentioned will take me a while. There is a LOT involved.

Hi Beej!  Thanks for the note.  Great to meet you.   I really don't play many gigs anymore, a couple/few a year at best.  It really took a long time to make peace with the fact that the music business is done with me, whether I'm done with it or not!  I do still have some folks to play with, I have a page at myspace.com, www.myspace.com/davekaftan with some music on it.

Klaus and I started writing to each other at www.bikerornot.com , found we had similar sensibilities.  We were both a lot more into bikes than into the "biker lifestyle".

Hi Beej,

Thanks for writing to me today, it just so happens to be my 54th. birthday today and I am wintering well.

As a matter of fact I went for a nice long ride up in the rockies yesterday, it was 70 down in Denver and 57 up in Evergreen with a little ice still along the edges of lake Evergreen.

The offer of a tour of the U.S. Mint for you and your family is still on and I would love to show you where I work, it will be a blast to show you guys around in there.

Talk with you later, Bob :>)

From: Orion2855 on 2008-12-11 01:12:03

Well Beej I am sorry I could not stop by to see you when I went to my brothers cabin in Big Bear, I can however give you and your family an insider tour of the U.S. Mint when you get out here to Gods Country-also known as Colorado!

You might want to get a site manager when this sucker takes off or you will never ride again my friend; I am looking forward to seeing you when you come out for a visit and some of the best riding in the country.

                                                     Later, Bob :>)

Hey Beej. I just got the comment emailer up and Rumbling. Also, there was a couple bugs I fixed. For a while, you could not go directly to your garage by typing in "rumblenews.com/username", but it works again now. Also, there was a bug when you clicked "my garage." That works again too. Catch ya later.

HHey BJ,

My friend Slik, from UK just registered.  He goes to a lot of Rallys they and takes as few pics. He is a really cool guy. I hope you will write and encourage him to share some of his rally pics.

And a few of other friends have registered...  I have barely told anyone, but they seem to like your site so far.  The only comment I got is that it seems "harley oriented" , which came from brit and beemer riders. I told them it is growing and changing and is for the whole motorcycling community, so contribute and be part of that...

You guys are doing a great job... I'm working my tail off sorting thousand of pics and editing, sizing, photoshopping, and getting it down to the few really good ones to show the hilarious time had at this rally.  My sides ached for days from laughing so much... some of the events were totally sick....

I hope to have all to you in time for July 1 posting... that is my goal.

NORTON Patty

(not just 'plain old could be any patty' but
Norton Patty--
thank you.
I fought the Prince of Darkness
many long and hard  battles to earn that....
but would rather be on my shovelhead!)

:-)

From: N on 2008-06-12 09:02:19

Hello BJ, I really like what you are doing with this site.  It is already very nice, and is just beginning, I can't wait to see it in a year when it has tens of thousands of users, and lots of articles.  I just flew to Houston and did photographs at a really creative custom harley build shop there. I will have the photss and text to you next  week to post on Rumble News.  My profile pic is on one of the fine builds from that shop.  It is an early shovelhead engine in a "Frisco" style chopper.  Okay, more soon...

From: Hans on 2008-06-12 08:51:06

Hey Beej, I am writing to you but I can't see what I have wrtten cuz it is black type on reallly dark gray background. Okay, I just changed my font color to gold, now I can see what I am typing against the black background. Shovel and I are photographers for the CAL24 1000 miles  in 24 hrs charity rally this weekend.  We will send you pics next week for Rumble News.  This is going to be a way better site than any motorcycle site out there. Takes time and work and money, but it will be amazing!  Better get some riding in now, while you have time to do that, cuz when this thing has thousands of people  you are going to be too busy doing this site to do anything else

Well my pad is very messy
And there's whiskers on my chin
And I'm all hung up on music
And I always play to win
I ain't got no time for lovin'
Cause my time is all used up
Just to sit around creatin'
All that groovy kind of stuff.
I'm a man
Yes I am
And I can't help
But love you so
I'm a man
Yes I am
And I can't help
But love you so.

Well if I had my choice of matter
I would rather be with cats
All engrossed in mental chatter
Moving where our minds are at
And relating to each other
Just how strong our wills can be
I'm resisting all involvement
With each groovy chick we see

Well I'm a man
Yes I am
And I can't help
But love you so
I'm a man
Yes I am
And I can't help
But love you so.

I got to keep my image
While suspended from a throne
That looks out upon a kingdom
Full of people all unknown
Who imagine I'm not human
And my heart is made of stone
I never had no problems
And my toilet's trimmed with chrome

I'm a man
Yes I am
And I can't help
But love you so.
I'm a man
Yes I am
And I can't help
But love you so.
