VA VA VROOM

I don't know about you women but I do know about my body. I have long arms and long legs and curvy. It seems that I can never find the right fit in my clothes, the pants are either too short or the sleeves come in between the elbow and the wrist. And once I wash & dry them, well let's just say, they never stay the same as brand new. This has been a fight with my wardrobe my entire life. I always have to buy men's gloves for durability for riding thus giving up the custom fit, that my hands require. It's like wearing construction work gloves most of the time. Not many stores these days carry tall sizes for a woman's fit. This is a common complaint among woman that I know in all accepts of life.

Allot of my biker HD shirts, jackets, and rain suits I have to buy in a men's large to fit my arm length and body, which in turn they are not that flattering on me! They are boxy, big around the shoulders, leaving excess room that I don't need and big around my waist, which I like my clothes form fitting. I always feel frumpy and not sexy. My rain pants are very big in the bottom to account for my long legs thus making me look fat! grrrr.....
While I was at Ohio Bike week in Sandusky last June I had came across a building that was set up for Woman and Motorcycling brought to us by The Motorcycle Hall Of Fame Museum in Pickerington Ohio. As I strolled through the vendors I found 2 woman selling their fashion line of clothes and apparel. They had the fantastic idea to start a business as being a woman and followed their dreams to start a new line of woman's motorcycling clothes! Ah....it is about time I thought, finally clothes with a flare! I was so excited to know more...

No more having to buy clothes from the HD dealer's men's dept and aftermarket WE now have a choice to fit our bodies to a personal level that is satisfy ones soul. Clothes that will fit our bodies curves.
I had met and spoken to 2 aspiring ladies at this event. I would first like to feature Denise Mapel with http://www.vavavroomonline.com!

As I spoke to Denise, soft spoken, stunning and attractive, tall, thin 5'11, with long brown hair. Denise had told me that her goal is to provide fashionable, functional motorcycle apparel to women of all sizes. She felt that there was not much available in casual-wear that reflects her interests in motorcycles in a somewhat tasteful and stylish manner. In February, 2007 Denise Mapel started the company with a line of tees, tanks, thermals and hoodies. Since then, she has added helmets, gloves, charms, thermal wear, boots and other things to her website. She will have a riding jacket coming out in the fall. You can find Vavaroom through motorcycle dealers, boutiques, online and at shows. You can see list of Vavaroom retails locations here: http://www.vavavroomonline.com/retail_locations.htm or order online. Check out her website, I'm quite sure you will like what you see! And don't forget to sign up for her email news letter! Tell her you read about her on RumbleNews.com

Denise Mapel's Mission Statement

VaVaVroom is on a mission to offer women motorcyclists of all sizes fashionable, safe riding gear. We believe that women become empowered when they get on a bike, and that this skill infuses us with a sense of identity and freedom that transcends social boundaries. We believe that women cyclists see the world in a different light as we travel the earthly and spiritual roads of our lives. Further, we believe that our collective experience "on the road" infuses us with confidence to live every facet of our lives - career, relationships and pastimes - more robustly. We women are a unique community within the universe of motorcycle riders and in that community, "strong" and "feminine" are never at odds. Our foundation is respect. Our ethos is trust. Our future is unlimited.

So all you guys out there, Christmas is coming...give your lady something to finally smile about!
